GHQ’s production house is based in the Northern Territory, where remoteness is both inspiring and challenging. The essence of the name Global Headquarters is born from working hard to provide world-class production equipment and a highly skilled crew. Despite our remote location, we firmly believe that quality should never be compromised.

GHQ has three editing suites at our Winnellie studios led by Grace and a team of editors. We approach each project as a unique opportunity to bring your vision to life. We provide a fresh perspective, innovative ideas, and a tailored treatment that reflects your desired outcome. Our dedicated motion media team boasts a diverse range of talents, including motion graphics, colour grading, audio mixing and animation, ensuring that your project receives the highest level of expertise and creativity.

outside broadcast

We provide outside broadcasting services for both local and national events. Our major event clients include Darwin Supercars, Bass in the Grass, Finke Desert Race and Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair. We offer multi-camera switching, live streaming, recording of events and live projection.

lighting / gaffer

We have two gaffer vans and provide large-scale lighting, rigging and unit services for large productions. Whether you need C stands, generators, wireless director monitors or enough blacks to cover the side of a house, we have both the equipment and expertise.

drone

GHQ provides drone videography for live events, and corporate videos. we have also utilised our drones on several broadcast series and documentaries.

GHQ has an RPA Operators Certificate (ReOC), and our Chief Pilot has a Remote Pilot's license to operate drones up to 25kg in weight. Clients include Nat Geo, Discovery, Eureka Productions, Screentime and the NT Government. Our licenses allow us to film at night. We handle the CASA flight authorisation for areas that require approval.

digital video network

By virtue of our name, GHQ can take your message to the world. We can leverage the power of IP to deliver live video from any location to any destination at any time with our TVU Pack. The TVU Pack enables us to transmit breaking news, stream events and enable live social media integration.

equipment hire

We have an extensive armoury of production equipment that can be hired for productions across the Northern Territory, including cameras, lenses, sound, lighting and production accessories. All items are listed in the Hire section of our website.

studio hire

GHQ has an in-house studio with an infinity wall and green screen. The massive space also includes a dressing room and break-out area, as well as double doors for large prop access. The space is versatile for all types of productions.

 

ADR / sound booth hire

Our audio booth utilises Waves Soundgrid Network with two Digigrid D interfaces for recording crisp voice overs as well as capacity for ADR with remote direction via Zoom or Skype. In the booth is a Rode Broadcaster microphone with potential to add a Sennheiser lapel microphone for a dual record. We have provided ADR for productions such as Glitch, Bloom, Reef Break, Mystery Road, The Drover’s Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson, RFDS, Fires, Blueback, Scarygirl, Barrumbi Kids, Limbo, The Royal Hotel, Ten Pound Poms, Deadloch and Five Blind Dates, and we have provided voice over recording for shows Love It or List It, Going Places with Ernie Dingo and The First Inventors.
